The Show

Roger and Jan (which is me) sing Mooning.

The teens sing a soup'd up version of the alma mater of Rydell High.

The Pink Ladies and Patty Simcox are listening to Sandy sing about her Summer Nights.
Here is Jan, Frenchy and Marty mourning about how It's Raining on Prom Night.

This was how we ended the Hand Jive competition at the prom.

Anika and Jennah have stage names but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

I'd upload some more of the great shots of the play (that Terry took)--BUT I'm having very little success uploading, even though I've tried several times. FAIL! I have no more time for feeble attempts, especially seeing that I am continually interrupted by my census crew. (To think I have to give up my playtime for WORK!!!) hahah
The photos can be found on my FB photo albums. (Sorry Sohailah--I know how much you hate FB, but maybe just to see pictures...)

I am getting something VERY VERY SUHWEET today!!!!!! an iMac. YESSSSS!!!! maybe I will have not another photo problem in the world once I get all of that up and running. How excited am I? Who knows where the 27" screen that Terry surprisingly ordered for me will fit on my desk. Sheeesh! (SO LOVING IT) But I'm sure I'll find a way.
.....NEWS FLASH....... IT JUST CAME! IT JUST CAME! IT JUST CAME!!! [KICKING UP HEELS]

I can't believe I'm actually switching over from PC to MAC. Next thing you know, I'll be announcing that I've become a liberal. HAHHAH. That'll be the day. See ya. I was going to go vaccum but now, I have some unpacking to do. HEE!

No Divas Allowed

Springs Community Theater is performing Grease this weekend. Things are going well--I think. I can't really get a read on the whole picture based on my own running around between scenes and changing costumes and figuring out what props I still need and if I still need another costume and how am I going to wear my hair and whether my girls still need me to pick up any costume items for them at the store, etc., etc. (Of course, this is only the theater stuff--I try to keep my other juggling acts separate--CRAZY).

Jayne and Barbara have done and amazing job with costuming. It's a very large cast to outfit! Yikes. And Jayne is also playing the lead, so I really don't know how she is swinging everything. I think it's rather stressful for her. On top of that, all the pink ladies including Sandy are squished into a tiny dressing room the size of someone's bathroom. (My bathroom at home is smaller--so I can't say it's that small). NO DIVAS ALLOWED! And the difficult thing about the small dressing room is we all have the same costume changes. Holy Crapoly. It is bedlam. Did I mention that it's also the prop room--which is NOT going to happen after tonight. It's too much.

All the other dressing rooms are downstairs and full as well, but with all the 8" of rain the came during a 32 hour time frame last week... the basement of Guild Hall completely flooded. UNBELIEVABLE!!! They spent like 40 gazillion dollars renovating that place and putting in a whole whozeewatzee in the basement so the underground river would not ever flood the basement dressing rooms anymore... but you just can't tame a river.

Anyway... the show must go on. Wish me a broken leg. ;-)

Gearing Up for HELL WEEK

"Hell week" is the week of tech rehearsal just before showtime. I didn't give it the name, but I've experienced it before and I think it's title is appropo. The difference in this coming week from other weeks I've had before a performance is that I've been experiencing HELL WEEK for the last two weeks already. It's been six days out of sevent, rehearsals 7-10 pm which means I leave the house at 6:30 and get home at 10:30. I've been loving it, but I hope I won't burn out. I'm trying to pace myself, but the census job has been between 5-10 hours a day as well. EXHAUSTION!!!

Terry is in Colorado with the boys this week... SKIING & SNOWBOARDING! Lucky them. I am truly happy for them. It gives me a such great feeling when I think about them spending time together at this point in their lives. REALLY COOL! Luke's away at college and Nate is coming to the end of his Junior year of HS. And they all met up in CO for 5 days. They need this bonding time.

I'm having bonding time with Anika and Jennah, because they are both in Grease with me. And I love that. They are some beautiful girls!!!

Yup! It's fun. I am enjoying it. I'm also digging my paychecks each week with the Gov't job. WOW! I REAL full-time job. TEMPORARILY!

Pictures will happen eventually of the play and other things. I just can't do it right now. Actually, I've gotta go right now. Just dropping in for a quick hello. I read your blogs today for the few hours I had available.

HAPPY EASTER! I BELIEVE CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED, WAS DEAD AND BURIED, AND ON THE THIRD DAY ROSE AGAIN!!!

I also believe that He will resurrect me after hell week. AMEN!
