CALEIGH'S ANTICS--QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS QUESTIONS

It was while I was making dinner...

Caleigh, my (then) three year old, was set up with her chair to the counter *helping me*. I can usually tolerate her help, but I was becoming frustrated with the late hour and not enjoying my cooking experience. And she kept asking me hundreds and hundreds of questions—to which I answered them all. Finally, I had been asked the one question: “What are we having for dinner, Mom?” one too many times. And I responded in a tense voice, “Caleigh! You need to go out of the kitchen now, because you’re questions are driving me up the wall!!” So she went on her way, ‘driving’ her tricycle in circles around the kitchen. After a few minutes she asked me one more question. “Mom, what does ‘up the wall’ mean?”

It’s a valid question!

KEEP THOSE BLOGGERS BLOGGIN'--RAWHIDE!

Well, Mitch did this to me! I was happily blogging on myspace... and now I'm here... all on my own... in this vast new world that feels a little scary--wmmmmhaa ha hahaaaaaaa!!!! I'm sure I'll get into it like I do with just about everything else once I grow accustomed. But here I am... like it or lump it!

As for today... Anika and I are wondering what we shall do. I soooo want to go to the beach, but it's probably going to rain again. What a way to kick off the summer--geez! Rain rain rain rain! So we will go to the library. These kids neeeeeeeeed to read this summer--something I've yet to see happen in all my parenting days. I try to make them read. I set aside a designated time every morning where they have to read, but that little announced schedule always gets taken over by something else i.e. free tennis camp for a week, a playdate, a sleepover, vacation to IN. And before you know it, summer is over and they've read maybe two days out of the entire two months. AghghaAGHGHGhaaghghhh... and to think I used to be a homeschool mom. (Don't tell anyone what I've become! tee hee).

After the library I'll be searching for a decent AM radio. Can you believe that? In this modern day and age?! My husband wants one for his birthday (July 5th he turns 40)--so he can listen to the Mets games when they aren't on TV. He doesn't want an iPod or anything fancy... just a little AM radio with an ear piece. HAHAHA! So... Radioshack here we come.

Anyway... this blogspot will be fun I'm sure! I'll have some STORY ADD-ONS for all to join in, and some mockery as well as thought provokers. WOOHOO!!! So stayed tuned, my friends.
